Admission to SMU is on a selective and competitive basis. Our selection approach is holistic, in that applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their academic track record, co-curricular activities, SAT Reasoning Test scores, and interview (for shortlisted candidates).
GCE A-level Holders (For students who have studied in the local junior colleges/centralised Institutes)
NUS High School Diploma
The NUS High School Diploma awarded by the NUS High School of Mathematics and Science has received recognition from SMU as a qualification for the purpose of admission into SMU undergraduate programmes. SAT Reasoning scores are optional, but applicants who have done well in SAT are encouraged to submit their scores on an “advantage” basis.
