Before you can print to any printer, you must connect a printer to your computer.
- Check that you are logged into the SMU network on your computer.
- Click on Start > Run. Type in i:\printers and click OK.
- Printers are grouped into different folders depending on their physical location. Double-click the folder where the printer you want to connect to is located.
For example, if you are connecting to a printer from the 5th floor of School of Accountancy, double-click the 'SOA' folder.

Then double-click on the Level05 folder.
- Double-click the respective shortcut to connect to the printer. See here for the list of printers in SMU.
- Once done, the selected printer will be available for selection in your computer's applications(e.g. MS WORD, MS EXCELL, Internet Explorer, etc.) when you print.
- Click Start > Printer and Faxes.

- Right-click the printer and select Set as Default Printer.
